about me…

My first job was licking envelopes for my mother, as she invoiced patients from the doctor’s office. At 7 years old, I took it very seriously. At the end of each month we’d sit at the kitchen table and she’d do the hard bits, involving lots of math and carbon paper. Then my sister would stuff envelopes and slide them down to me, where I would seal them and place the postage stamps. I was paid in popsicles with a Tootsie Roll center.

Imagine now a montage of Annie’s jobs from that point forward - alphabetizing files, answering phones in the hair salon at the mall, pushing the tea cart at Luby’s, pulling skeet & trap at a gun club, denying people financial aid (worst job ever), waiting tables, making theatre in unexpected places, reluctantly tip-toeing into a position as a TA at UCLA, founding a theatre company, creating & producing festivals, marketing shows, becoming Managing Director of an U/RTA theater, teaching & advocating for amazing students, building an empire of farmers’ markets, creating amazing brand loyalty, sharing my decades of experience to help others grow their businesses - and suddenly it is today!

Through my decades of living and learning and working, one very specific thing has remained consistent: I love to create. I love color and shape and movement and the way a story unfolds. Whether the story bursts forth from the mind of a playwright, is passed through the love and labor of generations of farmers, or springs forth from the bold decision to follow a dream… there is a joy in putting it all together to perfectly reflect the initial impulse to birth something new.

“I trust Annie and recommend her to any entrepreneur who wants to more fully experience the greatness she has to offer the world.”
